Description
Aensō IPA is pure (≥99%) isopropyl alcohol (2-propanol), an organic polar solvent that is fully miscible with water, ethanol, and most other alcohols but is incompatible with solutions containing salts. It effectively dissolves a wide range of non-polar compounds, including oils, alkaloids, and resins. Due to its rapid evaporation it leaves no oily residue, making it an excellent choice for cleaning and degreasing applications.
This versatile solvent is widely used in electronics and optics for cleaning delicate surfaces such as eyeglasses, optical lenses, DVD and Blu-ray discs, and camera sensors. It is particularly effective in removing dust, debris, and oxidation from electrical contacts, circuit boards, and other electronic components. In computer maintenance, isopropyl alcohol is commonly used to remove thermal paste from CPU heatsinks and GPUs, ensuring proper heat dissipation without introducing moisture or residue that could cause damage.
In the automotive and detailing industry, isopropyl alcohol plays a crucial role in preparing surfaces for coatings, paint protection films (PPF), and vinyl wraps by thoroughly degreasing the surface and eliminating contaminants. It is also used to remove wax, polish residues, and adhesive traces during paint correction, allowing for a flawless finish. Beyond automotive applications, it is frequently employed in medical and pharmaceutical environments for surface disinfection and sanitisation in laboratories, hospitals, and clinics. For household and industrial cleaning, IPA is an effective solution for removing grease, ink stains, and sticky residues from glass, metal, and plastic surfaces. Its strong solvent properties make it ideal for dissolving various organic and inorganic substances, while its non-corrosive nature ensures compatibility with most non-porous materials.
